WANTED: Fugitive iPhone

The iPhone has broken free, or so it seems, from the gnarly clutches of AT&T.

Yesterday, I was mildly delighted to read ( through Digg ), that a website, ( http://www.iphonesimfree.com ), has officially made an apparently legal method of unlocking the iPhone to whatever carrier you want, providing it supports GSM.

I’m not gonna write too much on this, except it seems better news for Europeans than North Americans who have to go with T-Mobile, or Rogers or Bell. Did Steve Jobs see this coming? Will he ( and by he, I mean Apple ), block the supposedly unblock-able hack?

I for one will maybe get one… after christmas… after I know if the UK iPhone will be 3G or not… 😉
